Developmental Delay
What Is Developmental Delay?
Developmental delay happens when a child has not gained the developmental skills expected of them, compared to others of the same age. Delays may occur in the areas of motor function, speech and language, cognitive, play, and social skills.
What is Our Plan for Developmental Delays?
We are completely familiar with the stages of development, and the child is guided forward step by step from where they are standing in this path so that they can make up for their developmental delay more and more every day. This is done along with family training and education so that they can help their child to grow and develop. The family can learn how to teach and practice with their child by staying in the therapy sessions. Early Speech Therapy and intervention can improve communication, speech, language, learning, and social skills, as well as brain development.
